International Women’s Day: Embedding diversity within our values and culture
On a day dedicated to women everywhere, I want to pause to appreciate the many incomparable women in our lives. From those who’ve raised us to be confident, capable best versions of ourselves, to the role models who’ve mentored or inspired us to break ceilings.
International Women’s Day invites us to imagine a gender equal world…a world that’s diverse, equitable and inclusive.
Taking practical actions to embed diversity
As a female CEO, I’m truly proud to lead a workforce where we don’t just ‘imagine’ equality, we take practical, tangible actions to embed diversity within our values and culture. Women make up 70% of our business and 48% of our leadership team. In the last year, we’ve promoted six women into senior and managerial roles – a credit to their individual capabilities.
At TTM, we champion women into education through the ERF Degree in Recruitment – a world first qualification which is supporting both male and female talent to rise through the ranks. I take great pride in all our employees who have embraced the opportunity to pursue this degree, with special recognition for two members of our AHP team, Roisin Sheehan and Leona Daly, who graduated with first-class honours last year.
Celebrating our female healthcare talent
Fostering diversity enables us to better reflect the needs of our clients and healthcare talent, allowing us to walk in their shoes. So, I want to specifically celebrate the women who comprise 75% of our healthcare workforce, bringing their compassion and dedication to caring for society’s most vulnerable.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in our TTM Hero Awards. Pascaline from Bristol has been consistently recognized for her exceptional skills in Endoscopy. Siobhan from Dublin plays an integral role in our Clinical Therapies team, and another Siobhan from Limerick is an extraordinarily hard-working locum nurse. These three individuals are just shining examples, acknowledged by both their managers and peers for their exceptional commitment. I’m always moved to hear how our talent are integrating seamlessly into client organisations, bringing invaluable skills and superb professionalism.
My commitment to you
But our work is not done. We still have some way to go to ensure our female healthcare talent are proportionately represented within influential leadership roles. This is why I’m so motivated to realise our 3x10x vision: to be THREE Times the Size, with TEN Times the Positive Impact. Our 10X commitments are focused on:
o Happy People
o Accessibility & Inclusion
o Valued Member of the community
o Environmental choices.
Our Accessibility, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy provides a roadmap for creating outstanding workplaces that we can all be proud of. Through our training, policies and partnerships, we are creating a culture where all people, from all backgrounds, will feel included, valued and able to realise their full potential.
Thank you as always for all you do.
